The music video welcome to the jungle depicts the dark side of Los Angeles and the twisted road taken when pursuing fame. This can be seen from the images depicted showing TV screens showing their current fame passed on the street by prostitutes, drug addicts and alcoholics.

The video focuses on showing images if war, drugs and  music, and depicting the negative effects of globalization. This song was shows a  stereotypical rock scene running throughout the music video. Complete with head banging  longhair, leather and tattoos. Displaying the rebellious nature underlining the image of rock music in the 80/90’s.

The song ‘Welcome to the jungle’ was originally a flop in the US although it reached high in the charts due to the long history with the UK and rock music. However after a re-release in America it topped the charts.
