Evaluateing evaluations

Here i have evaluated some past student media evaluations, this is in the hope to pick up a range of ideas which can be used in my own video evaluation.

This evaluation seems to directly address the questions however, there didn't seem to be any kind of scripting to there responses which dragged out a lot of there answers. There was a good use of technology throughout the piece as the group cut between the video and evaluation. This Helped to show a clear link between the point they were expanding upon and the piece of there video where it was shown.

Another way in which they used technology to help fortifie their point and communicate with the audience better is through screen captures. By using these it was possible for the group to show parts of their digi-pack and the connective. There are a few problems in the screen grabs however for example i didn't see the name of there chosen font whilst they were talking about it. This is something i belive would of helped make the video clearer as it would let the audience look up and find the font themselves if they wished. It would also help if in the screen grab following it was lined up in a way you could see the words and circling of the words at the bottom which is slightly cut off.

In their second question they start by repeating some of the things they have already said in the first, this is something i wish to avoid in my own evaluation. there was however have a lot of clear links between music video, digi-pack and website.

following this the third question seems to have a lot of  good information, such as how they used audience response to make changes to their drafts. Along with the use of a questionnaire to establish a clear target audience.I would of liked to of seen some of the comments made on the video in the final evaluation via screen shots or video inserts, this is something i will be doing in my own evaluation.

In the final question there are a lot of different technology's quoted and a few are referenced however this evaluation seemed to have a theme of returning to final cut. Apart from this i couldn't find fault in the last question an will hopefully cover a smiler amount of content in my own evaluation.

This is a better example then the last of a evaluation, it instantly gives backgeround information on how they know what they are challenging and how they are challenging it. There are also a lot less stumbles and breaks due to the scripting of the video.  By showing a small example on the corner of their footage it was possible to show the audience what they were talking about without taking focus away from the evaluation.

The first question also talks about synergy and the links between their music video, website and digi-pack and how the wanted to challenge the conventions using there media projects with different digi-pack designs etc. I found this to be a great example of a first question although they talked about the synergy  between projects which i will leave till the second question in my own evaluation.

They used butterfly's as a theme running throughout the digi-pack, blog and music video, this helped them link together all 3 tasks well an idea I'm thinking of incorporating into my own synergy.
This group also seemed to go off on a tangent about what they would do if re-making the video, this is something i disliked as i believe it showed poor analytical skills towards the start of the project.

Finally i believe the last use of technology question was well structured and laid out, however there was a limited use of technology. This would be different from my own evaluation as i have experimented with a wide range of technology throughout my project. I will list these in my own evaluation.
