Past student work - Who Am I Living For

 This is a piece of past student A2 media work i'm going to analyze. which i found during my research into music video effects.

Like my other example i chose this video has a direct link to the type of video i'm aiming to create. With the use of photos to relate to the storyline this video holds a unique appeal which links well into the theme. 

This video is based during the first/second world war although the clarity of the photos suggests second. Ether way it tells a story of a woman's love dying and the heartbreak which follows.

Effects.

Photograph fade.

 This is used to travel between two different parts of film as a transition, and connect the story to the past.

Colour Emerge

This is used to drag the reality back into the scene and give a sense time to the setting. I found this  effective although it' such a simple effect.

Mise En Scene
there were limited props used in the scene. however by the use of an old train it really gives a feel of the time period.this is added to with the use of costuming the characters in period clothing. 

flaws
I couldn't find any major problems behind the piece of work except one slight misalignment between a fade from a photo to reality.
